All Irish companies with an annual return date (ARD) on or after 30 September 2020 were granted an annual return filing extension to 28 May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is important that companies availing of the current extension and that have not yet filed their annual return take action to ensure that the do the filing deadline is not missed.
Ordinarily, all companies are required to deliver an annual return to the Registrar not later than 56 days after their ARD. In the absence of an announcement by the Registrar of a further filing extension, companies with an ARD on 3 April 2021 need to be aware of their obligation to file an annual return not later than 56 days after their ARD.
Our highly experienced Company Secretarial team are available to provide assistance and advice in relation to annual return filing deadlines and compliance obligations in the Companies Act 2014.
